The Chamber of Commerce hosted the Uzbek-Greek business forum and cooperation exchange.
June 28, 2018 the Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with the Consulate General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Athens and the company «Ellrosa Key Business Solutions» organized by the Uzbek-Greek business forum and cooperation exchange with participation of businessmen of the two countries.
The structure of the Greek delegation includes companies engaged in construction, manufacturing equipment for the food industry, production and processing of olive oil, medicine and pharmacy.
The main purpose of these activities was to promote the establishment of cooperative relations between the companies of Uzbekistan and Greece, attraction and development of foreign investment, technical and technological re-equipment of enterprises, as well as the establishment of joint ventures in the country.
Representatives of business circles of Greece highlighted the positive growth of macroeconomic indicators of Uzbekistan, the measures taken to liberalize and diversify the economy, improve the business environment, improve the investment attractiveness and the newly created SEZ.
It should be noted that the results of 2017 the trade turnover between the countries amounted to about 23.8 million US dollars.
Currently, 11 companies operate in Uzbekistan with the participation of the Greek capital, including 7 joint ventures and 4 enterprises with 100% participation of the Greek capital.
Following the meeting held cooperation exchange in the format of "B2B", where the sides discussed priority areas of cooperation, especially in trade, economic and investment spheres, as well as a number of agreements between the two countries, including for the development of olive oil production in the territory Uzbekistan, creation of joint ventures in the pharmaceutical and food industries.
